Chef Daniel Ryan of One Restaurant - Biography

Like partner and co-executive chef Kim Floresca, Daniel Ryan began cooking at an early age, learning about cuisine, technique, and the hospitality industry through ten years of culinary travels. He trained in the U.S. and abroad in some of the biggest names in the restaurant world: Per Se in New York, The French Laundry in Napa Valley, and El Bulli in Spain. After working as sous chef at the three Michelin-Star rated “The Restaurant at Meadowood” in Napa Valley, the East Coast native decided to find his own voice, venturing to North Carolina. He immediately seized the opportunity to take on the role of co-executive chef at One Restaurant in Chapel Hill, where the menu is defined by the region’s distinct growing seasons and agricultural abundance.
