Beverage Director Paul Rodriguez of Tinto - Biography

Paul Rodriguez fell into the restaurant business after leaving grad school and studying painting. A friend got him a job at Fork, in Philadelphia, where he quickly worked his way up to bar manager. The owner, Roberto Sella, who was a wine collector with a great cellar, taught him the ropes of the wine world, and from there on Rodriguez was self-taught. In 2006, he was hired by Jose Garces to bartend at Amada, where he learned about Spanish wine. His passion was evident to Garces, who asked him to run the bar and winelist at Tinto, which opened in 2007.
