Euphoria Celebrates 10 years of Food, Wine + Music April 11th Ticket Launch Party Michelin-starred chefs...

This year, euphoria celebrates its 10th year as one of the country’s premier food, wine and music festivals, September 17 – 20, 2015 (www.EuphoriaGreenville.com; @AchieveEuphoria). What began in 2006 as a one-day festival highlighting Greenville, SC’s culture, depth of talent and outstanding revitalized downtown, now draws over 6,000 from 30 states & multiple countries for a four-day weekend featuring nationally acclaimed chefs, celebrity singers and songwriters, craft brewers, Master Sommeliers, and unique luxury experiences.

“Ten years ago we planned our first festival with the goal of sharing our fantastic food and arts scene. Today one thing is certain: euphoria has exceeded our wildest expectations, and played a key role in highlighting Greenville, SC as one of the South’s premier food and travel destinations,” explained Carl Sobocinski of Table 301, who founded euphoria with platinum-selling singer and songwriter Edwin McCain. “Named one of the “10 Southern Food Festivals You Need to Taste” by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “Top 20 Events in the Southeast,” and praised in USA Today, Oprah Magazine and The New York Times – euphoria’s 10th annual event promises to be their best yet.

In honor of the 10th year, euphoria will bring Michelin-starred chefs to the festival for exceptional dinners, including featured guest Chef Curtis Duffy, a three star MICHELIN Chef and Owner of Grace in Chicago, Illinois and David Kinch of Manresa in Los Gatos,

Virginia’s Craig Rogers of Border Spring Farm and Travis Croxton of Rappahannock Oysters Co., as well as North Carolina’s Lionel Vatinet of La Farm Bakery, will also play leading roles at this years’ festival.

euphoria’s 10th annual festival also proudly introduces Kids in the Kitchen: Lunchtime Throwdown – a healthy cooking competition for kids ages 8 to 12 – modeled after the “Healthy Lunchtime Challenge” of 2014 which was sponsored by The White House and Epicurious. Euphoria is honored to host Tanya Steele, the creator and executive producer for the annual Healthy Lunchtime Challenge & Kids’ State Dinner with Michelle Obama, who will speak and judge the event. The winning dish will be incorporated into schools across Greenville County.

Swanky & Sweet – another new event – will shine the spotlight on some of America’s best pastry chefs, including Eric Wolitzsky from Bravo’s “Top Chef Just Desserts” and Fifth Group Restaurants in Atlanta, GA, Virginia’s Good Food Awards winner Stacy Noland of Stacy's Sweet Spot and Asheville, NC’s French Broad Chocolates.

Signature events return, including Songwriter’s Recipe, Traffic Jam, Lambs ‘n Clams, Tasting Showcase, Jazz Brunch, wine seminars, chef demonstrations, and Taste of the South – featuring over 20 chefs from Greenville, SC. euphoria’s 10 year anniversary culminates at Sunday Supper – one of the most coveted events – with a collaborative outdoor feast in downtown Greenville’s historic Wyche Pavillion prepared by 10 of euphoria’s outstanding local and visiting chefs.

Greenville’s own Edwin McCain returns this year in honor of the 10th anniversary with Grammy award-winning songwriters Tim Nichols and Marv Green, to headline “Songwriter's Recipe,” and will also be the featured talent at “Taste of the South.” “Traffic Jam” – this year in Greenville’s beloved baseball stadium, “Fluor Field, home of The Greenville Drive” – will feature live music, food trucks and a new tailgating theme. Throughout the weekend, musicians and chefs are paired for dynamic demonstrations on the culinary stage. And on Sunday, special guest Delfeayo Marsalis will play with Mark Rapp and his band at the Jazz Brunch. Stay tuned: Live music and celebrated musicians – a hallmark of the euphoria experience – will soon be announced.

As in years past, proceeds from euphoria Food, Wine & Music Festival benefit charitable organizations which focus on providing sustenance to those in need, educating through music, and supporting necessitous children in the upstate South Carolina area. This year, Greenville Youth Orchestra, Pleasant Valley Connection, Project Host, and United Ministries will be recognized.
Prepare for a 4-day state of food, wine + music euphoria: September 17 – 20, 2015.
