Green City Market, located in Lincoln Park between Clark and Stockton Drive (approximately 1817 N. In honor of the 2015 James Beard Foundation Awards, visiting chefs will gather and be joined by Chicago’s chef community at Green City Market beginning at 9:30 a.m. The market opens at 7 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday.

Green City Market board members and fellow past James Beard Award winners Sarah Stegner (Prairie Grass Cafe and co-president of Green City Market board), Carrie Nahabedian (Naha and Brindille) and Bruce Sherman (North Pond) are the hosting chefs.

“It is quite an honor for the Beard Awards to be taking place in Chicago,” said Stegner. “As this is the first time the Awards are being held outside of New York City, we are excited to show the chefs our Midwest farmers and first of the season produce. Green City Market is considered one of the top green markets in the United States, and we think it is an especially appropriate place to honor the occasion. We hope everyone will come out to meet these talented and inspiring chefs.”
